Even though Westchester is just north of New York City, it isn’t the most popular riding country. A good part of this is because riding in Southern Westchester isn’t the same respite that New Jersey’s Bergen County is; Southern Westchester seems to be full of smaller roads, more densely packed suburbia. One also has to ride through The Bronx to get there–for Manhattan cyclists as well as those in Western Queens, and all of Brooklyn, the GWB is closer, and thus faster. But it’s also because of other factors, like the Tappan Zee Bridge only opening to cyclists in 2020.
Still, the riding can be good, if you know where to look. We looked and found out.
The Wormhole Bundle has all of the Westchester rides included. But if you want singles, we’ve got that as well.
