Going Big in Jersey

I prefer loops to out-and-back rides.  And the bigger the loop, the more distance I feel I’ve covered, the better.

This ride creates a perimeter of what’s possible when riding from the Jersey side of the George Washington Bridge.  At nearly 85 miles, it’s a long ride, and it creates an edge wherein once you know the edge, you can find nearly countless rides that are within this perimeter. This ride, like most rides in northern Jersey, is hilly, but not spectacularly hilly. You have climbs, of course, but lots of quiet rolling roads where it’s easy to find a rhythm and marvel at how remote it is considering how populated the region is.

Push your limits outwards.  Give yourself new reasons to explore and train.
